Mechanism 05 · Heat diffusion

Heat Diffusion

Heat diffusion gently warms a volcanic stone or crystal surface so a few drops of fragrance evaporate into the room, with no water and no open flame. We offer it as a ready-tooled decorative range, where the natural material is part of the design.

Warm stone, gentle release.

How it works, where it fits and what each programme tests before making any performance statement.

How it works

Steady, gentle warmth.

A heating element keeps a natural stone or crystal surface at a steady, controlled temperature. Oil placed on it evaporates slowly into the room. There is no water, no mist and no open flame.

Where it fits

Objects people keep on display.

Heated tabletop pieces in volcanic stone and crystal, some with ambient light, suit living spaces, retail displays and gift ranges where the object itself carries the brand. Existing designs let a brand launch without investing in new tooling. Unheated stone pieces work by passive evaporation and belong with cold-air diffusion.

What to validate

Match the oil to the heat.

Warming changes how an oil evaporates, so heat diffusion suits fragrance oils and blends developed for it. Surface temperature, oil use and safety certification are confirmed for each design and market.

Questions the programme must answer

  1. Which fragrance oils or blends will the product use?
  2. Which surface material and finish carry the design?
  3. How will the user add oil and clean the surface?
  4. Which safety standard applies in the target market?

Carry the platform questions into the programme brief.

Compare the direction against the intended product context, then agree the validation plan within the ODM programme.
